Fritz-Pak Introduces Products for Masonry

Non-Chloride Set Accelerator For Mortar and Set Retarder For Mortar are the most recent additions to our line of products. Both products are packaged in plastic bags (not in water soluble bags), ready for dosing at a rate of one bag for every sack of dry mortar mix (60-80 Lbs). Pre-testing is always recommended. The accelerator and the retarder are white powdered materials, so they won't affect the color of the mortar.

The Non-Chloride Set Accelerator For Mortar does not contain calcium chloride which promotes corrosion in steel and efflorescence. Use it to reduce set time by 1-3 hours.

The Set Retarder For Mortar slows down the set without affecting strength. The rule of thumb for effectiveness is that one bag retards set for one hour. Both products may be used in pre-bagged concrete.
